B.C.’s Premier is pushing for communities throughout the province to try and land the second dwelling of a serious internet retailer.
John Horgan says B.C. could be the proper place for Amazon’s second headquarters and is happy to see the Metro and Island areas are getting into bids.
“I would hope that the Okanagan would look seriously at an opportunity like this as well. And that was my appeal to the delegates here today. This is a real possibility. It’s going to mean billions of dollars of investment, good jobs and we’re very serious about it.”

Several different Canadian cities have declared curiosity in securing the net titan’s new dwelling – together with Toronto, Calgary, Halifax, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Montreal.
Amazon says it plans to make investments 5 billion within the headquarters’ building and can rent 50-thousand individuals.
The tech large will likely be accepting proposals till October 19.
