A LIFE-size statue of Molly Meldrum — along with his beloved canine, Ziggy, in his arms — has been commissioned.

The statue, the brainchild of Meldrum’s long-time good friend, Ralph Carr, has been three years within the making.
It can be created by Melbourne artist Louis Laumen and can be a everlasting characteristic in Richmond.
Meldrum has lived in Richmond for virtually 40 years, so it appeared appropriate to deal with the art work in Wangaratta Park, which is subsequent to the well-known Corner Hotel and behind Richmond station.
