Man Apparently Jumped From Helicopter to His Death in Malibu: FAA

Federal investigators stated Sunday man apparently jumped from a helicopter to his demise off the coast of Malibu on Saturday afternoon.

In an e-mail to The Times, the Federal Aviation Administration stated that the pilot of the Robinson R22 helicopter informed investigators that his passenger jumped out of the plane about 1:10 p.m. about 1 mile south of the Malibu Pier. His physique was recovered by county lifeguards.

Authorities had stated earlier it was unclear if the person jumped or fell to his demise.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s workplace stated they weren’t releasing the identification of the sufferer as a result of that they had not been in a position to notify subsequent of kin.
