Calgary police are wanting for 4 men who they allege used fake gift cards and different “counterfeit payment cards” to make fraudulent purchases.
“In many cases, offenders would try multiple different payment cards that were declined before being successful in purchasing an item with a fraudulent card,” police stated in a media launch on Thursday.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) stated its officers labored intently with retail stores and cost card suppliers and complete of 19 prices have been laid in opposition to the 4 suspects.
Dmitri Barbu, 36, faces 13 counts of unlawfully using bank card information. He’s described as 5’10” tall and 180 kilos, with brown eyes, brown hair and a beard.
Kirill Bardine, 31, faces two counts of unlawfully using bank card information and one depend of possession of property obtained by crime. Police stated he’s 5’9” tall and 180 kilos, with blond hair and hazel eyes.
Andrei Anatolyevich Bykovets, 35, faces two counts of unlawfully using bank card information. He is claimed to be 5’9” tall and 175 kilos, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Ilya Olegovych Zianchurin, 27, is charged with one depend of unlawfully using bank card information and is described as 5’9” tall and 150 kilos, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police stated the costs had been laid as half of an ongoing bank card fraud investigation.
